Born and raised in California.

I am Jasheem Wilson, a screenwriter with a demonstrated history in book publication. My book series, She Was a Friend of Mine, won a Reader's Choice Award in 2016 and 2017. A self-proclaimed introvert, I  make sense of the world on the page. Everyone’s therapist, I find myself being the unwitting shoulder to cry on. Like the characters I write, I am learning to set and, most importantly, enforce boundaries. 

A poet at heart, I started as a book author, but I have applied my hand to contract writing, technical writing, journalism, ghostwriting, and screenwriting. I am silently searching for motives and the answers to the big “WHY?” I strive to explore different writing styles and not be shackled by genre.
